It was in 1979 when the first three (3) days deaf cricket match was played between the teams of Lahore and Karachi in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The match was closely contested and won by Karachi. After that the full fledge activities of deaf cricket started, mainly in Lahore and Karachi (traditionally main nurseries of cricket in Pakistan). Afterwards, other cities joined the movement of deaf cricket in Pakistan.

In 1982 Pakistan’s deaf cricket team toured India to play three (3) test matches (India won that series 3-0). Although, Pakistan deaf cricket team don’t get chance to play in international matches, but at local front deaf cricket blossoming and more and more cities joined that league. Friendly matches and tournaments were organized to boost the deaf cricket activities in Pakistan. In 1995-96 Australia hosted 1st Deaf Cricket World Cup in Melbourne. Pakistan deaf cricket team despite unaware of local conditions qualified semi-finals and lost to Australia. Likewise, in 2005 India deaf cricket team toured Pakistan in 2005 to play five (5) ODIs. Pakistan clinched the series by (4-1). In the 2nd Deaf Cricket World Cup Pakistan deaf cricket team played remarkably well but once again can’t clear the hurdle of semi-final and lost to India. The in 2007 Pakistan claim its first major title by winning the 1st Deaf Cricket Asia Cup-2007 being held in Mumbai-India. Pakistan deaf cricket team remained unbeaten in the tournament. After the famous victory Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board gave reception to the victories deaf cricket team separately. In the same year Pakistan deaf cricket team toured Sri Lanka and won that series 3-0.
